Jul 18, 2025

The Iowa College Foundation (ICF) is pleased to announce the appointment of Marty Fredericks, Audit Partner at Forvis Mazars LLP, as Chair of its Board of Governors.

Fredericks, a graduate of Wartburg College, has been a valued member of the ICF Board since 2019, bringing seven years of dedicated service and leadership to the organization. He succeeds Kent Hall, CEO of North Iowa Consulting, who served as Chair for two years and will continue to support ICF as Past Chair of the Board.

“Marty’s deep commitment to Iowa’s private colleges and his extensive experience in the business community make him an exceptional choice for Chair,” said Ed Finn, President of the Iowa College Foundation. “His leadership will be instrumental as we continue to grow support for our member institutions and the students they serve.”

Fredericks now leads a 57-member Board of Governors composed of 35 business representatives and the 22 presidents of Iowa’s independent colleges and universities.

“It’s an honor to serve as Chair of the Board of Governors at such a pivotal time for higher education in Iowa,” Fredericks said. “Our independent colleges play a vital role in preparing students to strengthen our communities and workforce. I look forward to working with the board and ICF’s leadership to expand opportunities for students statewide.”
